Parents, I welcome you to your children’s OLG/St. Anthony CYO sports program. We are committed to teaching your children good sportsmanship, teamwork and most importantly – good Christian values through athletics. My name is Charlie Gomez and I have been a part of the OLG/St. Anthony CYO sports program since 2002 by coaching my daughter’s volleyball team. I now coach my 6-year old son and his teams in Flag Football, Basketball and Baseball. I’m also your newly elected Vice President and Flag Football Commissioner for OLG/St. Anthony’s CYO. It is such a joy to see children develop their athletic skills and most importantly their sportsmanship skills. My (2) children are at St. Anthony Catholic School (7th grade for my daughter and 1st grade for my son). In regards to coaching I have over 15 years of experience in coaching Basketball, Football and Track at the junior high and high school level with the highlight being a State Football championship in 1990 at Central Catholic High School. However, my personal highlights have been seeing young athletes that I coach turn into valuable members of their community. I take special pride in this program and want our children to learn the values of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and Christian ethics. I look forward to meeting everyone involved with my team.
